Welcome to Therapy Trail Guide! Our names are Alyssa and Andrew, recently graduated and working Travel Physical Therapists. Our goal is to share our journey: how we got here, what we are doing now, how to be successful, and so much more. Meet Alyssa!
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and then moved a short 1.5 hours to the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL to obtain my undergraduate education. I found my love and fascination for the human body and exercise while getting my Bachelors degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, and then decided I wanted to pursue Physical Therapy. I was accepted into the DPT program at the University of Florida in February of 2020 and started school the following August. Three years and a whole lot of great memories later, I have obtained my Doctorate degree and license to practice Physical Therapy! I enjoyed the adaptability and learning process of starting each new clinical rotation in school, as well as seeing new places, and that is part of the reason I landed in Travel PT! I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge in different settings, exploring new areas of the country, and connecting with people along the way.
Meet Andrew!
I was born and raised in a small town in Western Pennsylvania (Yinzer Country and the Christmas Tree Capital of the World). About 20 minutes from my house, I attended Indiana University of Pennyslvania for undergrad. In 2020, I earned a B.S. in Natural Science with minors in Sports Mangement and Psychology. I then took my talents to The Swamp and earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and my license in the summer of 2023.
Since I started to pursue a career in physical therapy in the spring of 2017, my intent was always to begin as a Traveler, for many reasons.
My interests include: Family, Friends, Fitness & Health, Sports, The Outdoors, & New Experiences.
